Talent & Artist Development

Our Talent Development Model is a comprehensive reform model for youth facing serious problems with student attendance, discipline, achievement scores, and dropout rates.

The model includes organizational and management changes to establish a positive self-value; curricular and instructional innovations to prepare all students for high-level competition in the Arts. We promote parent and community involvement to encourage college awareness; and professional development to support the recommended reforms.

Access to the Arts and Music for Disadvantaged Youth

Founded in 2003, StarFactree Foundation is dedicated to providing disadvantaged urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as well as providing exhibition opportunities to under-represented artists and artists of color.

While its primary emphasis is the arts, StarFactree Foundation is committed to the general well being of young people by considering a wide range of concerns. Further, our Mentorship Programs and the International Partnership Initiative offer youth personal testimony to the transformative power of creative expression.

Through the StarFactree Foundation Mentorship Initiative, the foundation's leadership reaches out to urban youth and takes them behind the scenes in the Music and Film Industries. They will have in-depth Q&A sessions with executives in music, film, and creative-related professions.

Psychodrama and Self-Value Workshops

Based on visual arts education and exhibition, StarFactree Foundation focuses on providing opportunities for individual growth, self-expression, increased awareness and appreciation of the arts through participation in studio, exhibition, lecture, and other education programs.

The Self-Value Workshops utilizing Psychodrama seeks to educate, enrich, and engage a diverse population of youth through the "experience of art."

Learning Digital Media and Recording

Through mentorships with industry professionals, youth will learn to navigate the digital landscape, including the worlds of video production and multimedia technology.

They will learn to combine traditional production techniques with industry-related tools to shoot, edit, refine sound, and develop special effects. They will be mentored on site in production companies which will prepared them to seek entry-level employment such as production positions in Internet, broadcasting, and cable.

Songwriting and Publishing

The music business can be one of the most confusing, challenging and ultimately rewarding industries on the planet. An understanding of the inner workings of the music business is an essential requirement for internships and entry-level jobs in the industry.

StarFactree Foundation provides a beginning for youth in learning about the business, a career at an independent record label, managing an artist, publishing contracts, music distribution or music production, our programs will give youth the tools for success.

Talent Competition for Arts and Music Scholarships

The purpose of the StarFactree Foundation National Competition is to encourage young people to aspire to excellence in music and to further their musical education.

The winner is selected annually in public competition on the basis of performance excellence, potential and need. The objective of the Competition is to encourage and recognize local solo instrumental musicians. Finalists will participate in a public audition process at two levels. Four finalists will be selected to perform at the finals concert for a maximum of four minutes each that will be recorded live. They will then be released under the Just For Kids Record Label.

Just for Kids Record Label

Just for Kids Record Label, produces children's and family entertainment audio, video and film titles.

Talented youth will be featured on the record label. They will have an exclusive long-term agreement to develop, produce, and distribute video, audio, book-and-tape and feature film titles.

StarFactree Foundation School of the Arts strives to ensure world-class standards of excellence in art education and academics while promoting and expanding diversity within its programs.
