At the helm, Jerry Marcellino, CEO/ President, veteran musician, producer, and songwriter with 19 gold and platinum records and formerly on the Board of Governors of the National Association of Recording Artist (Grammys), and Dr. Patricia Heisser Metoyer, National Executive Director, StarFactree Foundation, Inc. promotes independent creative voices and visions, not only in the interest of creative artists - it is also in the interest of disadvantage youth of the world. Through music, film, and educational videos, independent creative voices and visions enrich the understanding of the vitality and cultural diversity of the world, providing a needed venue and alternative to commercialized media.

An Independent Creative Voice and Vision in Education

Through independent film, cultural festivals, symposia, events, recordings, and concerts, StarFactree Foundation, Inc. provides an innovative new voice, while raising funds to donate to worthwhile global causes.

Given the economics in filmmaking and music production today, some independent films and recordings are worthy of industry consideration, but do not have access to decision-makers. Therefore, StarFactree Foundation, Inc. works internationally with producers of independent film and record companies to develop documentaries on DVD that are presented at Film Festivals, public schools, as well as Universities providing a new educational niche for these creative voices.

Teamwork and Partnerships

StarFactree Foundation, Inc. is a self-sustaining, Nevada nonprofit 501(c) (3) corporation, inspired and supported by the Las Vegas community. Our first festival convened in association with Clark County Parks and Community Services in Sunset Park on May 22 and 23rd, 2004 with over 1800 visitors from as far away as Australia and France.

The organization has evolved from a city-based office with a small volunteer committee in 2003 hosting events as planned in Las Vegas. There is an ever-growing team of volunteers.

Responsibility

The staff plans and implements all events, coordinates publicity and promotions, and generates sponsorships and fundraising resources. The staff also interacts with the community, state and local tourism agencies and public officials, and handles the overall administration of the nonprofit entity. This role is sometimes expanded to coordinate or participate in activities on behalf of the city and community, as is the case with our planned projects.

Our company is dedicated to Media Arts and Education andhas been taking our clients on exciting adventures. We understand the importance of music, art, and film in educationand we want to share it with our guests.

In 2005 StarFactree Foundation was honored to be selected as one of the Las Vegas Centennial 2005 sanctioned events for the 1st Annual Creole Festival Internationale 2005.
